Prime contractor for dual 120T Navy bridge cranes.

Advanced Crane Technologies is the PRIME contractor for the design, supply, and installation of two (2) new 120-ton, double-girder, cab-operated overhead electric traveling (OET) bridge cranes at Kings Bay, GA. Each crane features a 189 ft span and includes a 120-ton main hoist trolley with a 25-ton auxiliary hoist. The cranes are rated CMAA Class ā€œDā€ and designed for outdoor service with 88 feet of lift.

Key design features include enclosed, climate-controlled cabs with filtered and pressurized air, full-length walkways with crossover access, redundant drive and PLC systems, and advanced safety features such as crane-to-crane and crane-to-building anti-collision, broken shaft detection with emergency disk brakes, LED flood lighting, fall protection systems, and load testing to 125% capacity.

Scope of Work

  • Site Survey / Investigation: Evaluated existing conditions for crane replacement
  • Design: Engineered custom crane system and layout
  • Fabrication: Supplied all crane components and assemblies
  • Demolition / Removal: Removed existing cranes of similar size and capacity
  • Installation: Installed two new cranes including cab, walkways, controls, and hoists
  • Testing: Performed full load and operational testing to Navy acceptance standards
  • Operator Training: Provided comprehensive operator and maintenance training to Navy personnel
