New 45T Tailrace Gantry Crane

Advanced Crane Technologies was selected to replace an aging 25-ton gantry crane at a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers dam with a new, custom-designed 45-ton tailrace gantry crane. The crane was engineered with full structural calculations and documentation, ensuring compliance with USACE standards and long-term reliability.

The new crane includes a fully enclosed machinery house, advanced electrical and control systems, load cell integration, storm brakes, a cable reel, and a purpose-built lifting beam. To enhance safety and visibility, energy-efficient LED lighting was also incorporated. The upgraded crane delivers increased capacity, modern functionality, and long-term performance for critical dam operations.
