New 40T 3-motion Gantry Crane

Advanced Crane Technologies engineered and delivered a custom 40-ton, three-motion gantry crane for a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers dam, replacing the facility’s aging 35-ton unit. The new crane was designed to meet rigorous USACE specifications and included complete structural calculations and documentation. It features a fully enclosed trolley, load cell system for enhanced safety, storm brakes, and a motorized cable reel to support robust operational demands.

The crane’s electrical and control systems are state-of-the-art, providing reliable and precise motion control. One of the standout design elements is the nearly all-glass operator cab, maximizing visibility and improving situational awareness for safe and efficient crane operation. This upgrade not only increased capacity but also modernized the overall crane system to meet today’s demanding environmental and operational standards.
