New 20/5T Bridge Crane

Advanced Crane Technologies successfully delivered a custom-designed 20/5 ton ordinance handling bridge crane for the U.S. Navy. This turnkey project included design, material procurement, fabrication, assembly, shipping, installation, start-up, load testing, and operator training. The crane was engineered with a unique 8-wheel configuration to maintain maximum wheel loads within the structural limits of the new crane runway, and it was built to Class CMAA “D” service rating for heavy-duty use.

Operating within a confined building footprint, our team overcame spatial limitations to install a close-approach system for optimal hook coverage. All crane movements are controlled by advanced AC variable frequency drives for smooth and precise handling. The project also included a new runway conductor system with full-length grounding and comprehensive project management, from electrical administration to quality control, ensuring the crane met every requirement specified by the client.
