200T Bridge Crane Replacement

Advanced Crane Technologies was the prime contractor for the design, supply, and installation of a new custom 200-ton overhead electric traveling (OET) bridge crane at Naval Support Activity Mechanicsburg, PA. The project included removal of the existing 200-ton crane and outdated runway system, followed by installation of a new state-of-the-art crane built to NAVFAC specifications. The system was engineered for outdoor service, CMAA Class “C” duty, with a 35-foot span and 45 feet of lift.

The crane incorporated advanced features such as variable speed controls on all motions, an enclosed climate-controlled cab with radio backup, full-length walkways, LED flood lighting, storm brakes, wind indicators, and an integrated fall protection system. ACT also installed a new 500-amp runway conductor system, performed full testing to 135% capacity, and provided operator training, ensuring long-term reliability and safety for critical Navy lifting operations.
